When Day1 won a 4-way pitch to help launch the new website for Sussex
Enterprise in 2002, the brief was to raise awareness of the new site and
services and so to increase event bookings, online membership bookings
and registered users.
Sussex Enterprise's strategy to shift their business to concentrate
on delivering business advice and news via the internet was critical to
growing membership and expanding services so the marketing campaign
to launch the new site was pivotal to the success of the venture.
Statistics for the website are as follows:
Events booked on-line trebled in the month after the campaign launch and
have since averaged a 50% rise on the previous year. On-line membership
has doubled and the number of registered users went up from 49 to 410
in the first month and is now averaging 150 per month. The site now has
around 8000 9500 visits per month, compared with 2000 3000
last year.
Matt Jackson Head of Marketing and Customer Relationships at Sussex Enterprise
said 'We asked Day 1 for maxium exposure for www.sussexenterprise.co.uk
and got it! Twenty thousand users in ten months is a great result for
them and us'.
Brighton-based web engineers Runtime Collective were responsible for building
the database driven, content management site and Day1 worked closely with
them and Sussex Enterprise to ensure that a totally integrated solution
was delivered on time and within budget.
