Three successes so far for our bid teams.

Over the past two years Day1 have been supporting PFI and LIFT consortia to compile and produce their bid proposals.

"Often, this can be rather a frenetic process. A newly formed bid team can comprise up to 12 different organisations - all with their own ways of working and of course their own viewpoints" comments Tina Carter, Day1 partner. "Our job begins with helping to align the team, agreeing common working practices, capturing the key message and generally applying the same strategies to a bid proposal that we would for any client-facing project."

Bid documents frequently exceed 500 pages and are produced in small numbers with very tight schedules, which poses significant challenges. The bids also need to be submitted in an electronic format and teams are required to support their proposals with a presentation - often to audiences of over 80 people.

"The process is strenuous to say the least" comments Tina Carter. "Our job is to work as efficiently and effectively as possible - supporting the team and helping to present their proposals in a clear, persuasive and memorable way."

So far we have worked with 3 successful project teams: Caring 4 Croydon (Osborne and UME), South East Essex LIFT (GBPrimarycare) and Young Herts (Osborne and UME). Three further projects are either awaiting announcement of Preferred Bidder or are in development. We'll keep you posted!
